The main character in Sunken Heart has abandoned the world above the surface and, with all his material needs provided for, lives a very comfortable, if lonely, life below. This short tale of romance and adventure beneath the high seas unfolds across the panels of this accordion fold book. The original idea came from hearing stories about all of the containers ships that were spilling their cargo at sea. In one example, a container of Nike tennis shoes was lost. Because of the high cost of recovery, this treasure of shoes was left out there. Unfortunately, they were all left shoes.
